The Venue

The Latino Cultural Center is a division of the City of Dallas Office of Arts and Culture and a member of the Dallas Art Dealers Association.

The Pancho Medrano Legislative Summit will take place at The Latino Cultural Center2600 Live Oak St, Dallas, TX 75204 (view map).

The Latino Cultural Center was founded in 2003 in response to the growing need for Latino cultural events and functions in the Dallas City metro area. It serves as a regional catalyst for the preservation, development, and promotion of Latino and Hispanic arts and culture.

This colorful, and unique, multidisciplinary arts center was designed by architect Ricardo Legorreta and opened in 2003. It contains a 300-seat theater, a multi-purpose room, an art gallery and sculpture courtyards that are widely used by local, regional, and international artists.

The City of Dallas Office of Cultural Affairs (OCA) operates the cultural center and supports educational classes and events for children, adults, and families that take place throughout the year.

Besides our three sessions, this day-long event will feature creativity that celebrates Latinx arts and culture, including one special exhibition, curated by Jorge Baldor and Latino Arts Project, called Yanga and the AfroMexican Experience. This free exhibit brings awareness to the diversity of cultures within our communities and highlights the commonalities we share.
